1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember your preferences and measure how it is used. Local storage and session storage, which work similarly, are treated as cookies under this Notice.
2. Categories We Use
2.1. Strictly Necessary
Required for the Platform to function: session management, security tokens, and language selection. These cannot be refused.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and the ePrivacy exemption for cookies strictly necessary for a service the user has requested.
2.2. Analytics (cookieless)
We use Umami Analytics to understand aggregate usage — page views, traffic sources, and which districts are popular. Umami is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, uses no local or session storage, and collects no personal data or cross-site identifiers. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device and no personal data is processed, no consent is required and no consent banner is shown.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in measuring aggregate, non-identifying usage. The ePrivacy consent requirement does not apply because no information is stored on or read from your device.
2.3. Payment
MyPOS may set cookies required to complete payment and prevent fraud. These are loaded only on checkout pages.
Legal basis: necessary for the performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
3. Managing Cookies
We do not show a cookie-consent banner. The Platform uses only strictly-necessary cookies (above) and cookieless analytics, neither of which requires consent under GDPR/ePrivacy — we set no advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies.
You remain in control: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (the site needs the strictly-necessary ones to function), and if you prefer not to be counted by our cookieless analytics you can block the cloud.umami.is domain or use a content blocker.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be refused — the site would not work without them.
4. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Any persistent strictly-necessary cookies remain only as long as needed for the function they serve, or until you clear them. Umami analytics stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing to retain there.
5. Third Parties
The Platform loads third-party code from: Umami Analytics (cookieless usage analytics — no cookies, no personal data), MyPOS (payment processing — active only at checkout), and Resend (transactional email — server-side only, no cookies set in your browser). No advertising, social-media, profiling, or content-delivery third parties are used.
If this changes, this Notice will be updated before any new scripts load.
